Integrazione
Marineo, Palermo e Termini Imerese sono le tre citta’ in cui nasceranno centri polifunzionali per favorire l’inclusione sociale degli immigrati extracomunitari regolari.
I progetti verranno realizzati grazie ai finanziamenti del Pon Sicurezza. In conformita’ con l’Obiettivo Operativo 2.1 del Programma “Realizzare iniziative in materia di impatto migratorio“, nei centri saranno attivati servizi che, accompagnando anche l’inserimento lavorativo degli immigrati, favoriranno la loro integrazione nel tessuto sociale.
Gli interventi previsti vanno dalla formazione linguistica e professionale alla mediazione culturale, dall’assistenza socio-psicologica all’accompagnamento per il disbrigo di pratiche amministrative, fino a spazi per la socializzazione e il tempo libero.
Il Centro polifunzionale di Marineo “Inclusione per la coesione nell’Alta Valle dell’Eleutero” ha ricevuto un finanziamento di 1.337.652 euro da utilizzare per la ristrutturazione e l’adeguamento di un immobile in via Cardinale Corradini.
Nel centro storico di Termini Imerese nascera’, invece, il centro “Integra”. Con un finanziamento di 1.987.028 euro verra’ recuperata una struttura composta da due corpi di fabbrica separati che un tempo ospitava un istituto per minori orfani. Oggi l’immobile, che fa parte del patrimonio comunale, e’ in stato di abbandono.
Il terzo progetto e’ stato presentato dalla Provincia regionale di Palermo e interessa il Palazzetto Orlando che, grazie a un finanziamento di oltre 2,5 milioni di euro, diventera’ un Centro polifunzionale.
L’edificio si trova in corso Calatafimi, ai margini del centro storico, e ospitera’ attivita’ di integrazione socio-lavorativa, corsi di lingua italiana, uno sportello informativo e legale. Finora il Pon Sicurezza – il Programma e’ a titolarita’ del ministero dell’Interno ed e’ finanziato al 50 per cento dall’UE e al 50 per cento dalla Stato italiano – ha stanziato fondi per 27 Centri polifunzionali dislocati nelle 4 regioni Obiettivo Convergenza: Campania, Calabria, Sicilia e Puglia.
